    Man indicted for aggravated robbery of Taylor County store

    TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – A man has been indicted for the 2022 aggravated robbery of a store in Taylor County.

    Melvin Hodge, Taylor County Jail

    According to court documents, the suspect entered a store on May 19, 2022. He allegedly handed the clerk a threatening note, then brandished a firearm and stole more than $700 from the store.

    DNA testing and video footage led to the arrest of suspect Melvin Hodge. He was taken into custody at the Taylor County Jail with a bond set at $150,000. Hodge is charged with aggravated robbery, as well as tampering with evidence, possessing prohibited items in a correctional facility, and possession of fentanyl.
