HAPPENING NOW: Pedestrian & vehicle crash in central Abilene

ABILENE, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – A crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle has occurred in central Abilene.

Just after 11:00 a.m., crews were called to the intersection of Shelton and South 1st Street for a pedestrian and vehicle crash.

According to officials, a woman was driving across Shelton Street during a green light when a man walked out into the road, causing the driver to strike him. Officers rendered first aid until paramedics arrived.

The pedestrian sustained some injuries but remained conscious and was able to speak with officers at the scene. Please avoid the area while crews work to clear the scene.
