Abilene ISD encourages perfect attendance with friendly competition

ABILENE, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – A friendly competition is brewing within the Abilene Independent School District as the district encourages perfect attendance.

Last week, any teacher whose students had perfect attendance could wear jeans the following week.

If half of the classrooms at one campus get perfect attendance, then all teachers get to wear jeans the following week. Several campuses were able to achieve this, and the competition is still ongoing.

Now, some campuses have started challenging each other on their marquees and have placed bets. One campus challenged the other for popsicles, and another involved pie in the face.
