Wake-Up Weather: heavy rainfall to welcome Tuesday as second front nears

Summary: Yesterday, anywhere from one to 4 inches of rain fell across the community, especially out towards the heartland within the past 24 hours. This morning heavy rainfall stalled over areas of I 20 leading between 1 to 2 inches of rainfall across the area due to a stalled front and a disturbance overhead all within the past 12 hours. With roads a bit slick make sure to give yourself a little bit of extra time on those roadways, especially with stopping distance. Heading into later this evening a few showers are not completely completely ruled out towards the heartland and then as a cold front moves in overnight heading into early Wednesday morning a chance for more showers along the leading edge of the cold front behind skies will clear conditions will warm and humidity will decrease. Temperature is expected to remain into the mix of the low 80s temperatures warm to 90° by the start of the next work week.
