Abilene man arrested, accused of attacking several victims with weapon

ABILENE, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – An Abilene man accused of attacking several victims with a weapon has been arrested.

Christian Orozco, 18, was taken into custody Monday on warrants for Burglary of a Habitation and Aggravated Assault in connection to an incident at an apartment complex on the 2400 block of Buffalo Gap Road that happened around 3:00 a.m. Saturday.

A press release from the Abilene Police Department states officers arrived at the apartment complex and found several victims suffering from lacerations.

Multiple witnesses reported a suspect, later identified as Orozco, came into an apartment unannounced and began antagonizing people inside, eventually assaulting several occupants with an undisclosed weapon.

Orozco fled the scene following the alleged assault. His family members confirmed that soon after the incident, he was captured on an Abilene homeowner’s RING camera covered in blood and crying for help.

The homeowner called police, but Orozco had fled the scene by the time officers arrived.

He was captured Monday and now remains held in the Taylor County Jail on a $400,000 bond.

Police say Orozco is also suspected of stabbing another victim multiple times during an unrelated incident September 15.
