Sweetwater amped after 90-0 win, Mustangs hope to remain healthy

SWEETWATER, Texas (BCH Sports) – It’s been an up and down season for the Mustangs, but they’re feeling great after their last game.

You might not believe this, but they beat San Angelo TLCA 90-0.

Anytime you win a game like that, it has to give you some juice moving forward, but Head Coach Russell Lucas thinks that health will remain a huge factor.

Lucas said, “We finished the Wall game a few weeks back with seven starters on the sideline and we got one of those guys back last week for the last game. We need to continue to get healthy and get those guys back in the game and then just continue to improve fundamentally and finish drives and get stops and win the turnover battle and all the things that coaches say. I do think we’re getting better in those areas and we work on them every day. As long as we keep moving in that direction, I feel like we’ll be all right. “

The Mustangs will look to ride this momentum as they head to Comanche this Friday.
