Eight women and their dig teams are confirmed for the event, with four alternates in case of injury or factors forcing an athlete to drop out.

This event will stand out as the first ever time women have competed at Rampage, after years of dialogue, progression, and discussion. Ariel took a deeper look at what this means for women's freeride here:

Red Bull athlete and now Rampage competitor, Hannah Bergemann had this to say about the event: "I’m so honored and excited to get to be a part of the first ever women’s competition at Red Bull Rampage. Red Bull Rampage is the pinnacle event of freeride mountain biking, and I'm so excited for women to have a platform on this stage. I can’t wait to see everyone compete. This will elevate the sport and continue to open doors for the next generation of female mountain bikers."

We're so excited to see the women throw down at Rampage this year, and will publish more coverage and profiles of these athletes leading up to the event. For ticketing and other information, keep an eye on the Red Bull site.
