Every week I run through all of the articles we published, pull the highlights, give them a little extra love, and then take a look forward at the next week of stories. If you want to see these wrap-ups first, subscribe to our newsletter.

Summer feels shortest when it’s wrapping up. It’s a little cooler at night, and it’s been raining a bit, but we’ve still got plenty of prime riding to come. I hope wherever you are you’re blessed with clear trails and good dirt. This week at Bike we are ripe with new bike launches, profiles, and event recaps.

    In the news:

The men’s Rampage rider list dropped! It features, unsurprisingly, a bunch of familiar faces, along with a few wildcards. We’re stoked to watch Semenuk return to the desert, as well as hopefully see some of the up-and-comers throw down clean runs. Ariel also wrote up the She Shreds event at Legacy Bike Park, and her personal report from her second DH race.

    Gear reviews:

There’s a new Bronson in town! I got to spend some time on this mullet rig at Crankworx, and I’m a big fan. It will be interesting to see how these changes filter out to the rest of Santa Cruz’s lineup. Andrew Major also swapped my old Spire for a sweet new ride , and received a response to his book review.

    Travel & features:

Aaron Theisen is back, with the first part of his series on Crested Butte. We’ve also got a recap from our latest edition of the 5-hour ENERGY Main Character of the Race , and a new series on non-monogamous sponsorship from Eric Olsen.

    Looking forward:

Next week we’ve got more profiles of up-and coming rippers from our “The Kids are Alright” series, femme freeriders in our “The Future is Bright” series, and more shop local pieces. But for now, it’s raining, so I’d better find my jacket, and head out for a ride!
