Update: Death in Burnstead Drive area was accidental, not suspicious, police say

Update 9:30 p.m.

Billings police said the death at the 1100 block of Sunnyside Lane was accidental, not suspicious.

Officers found the man, who was 43 years old, dead at the rental home. They are not seeking suspects and believe there is no threat to the community, according to the release from Sgt. Jeff Stovall.

Update 5 p.m.

Billings Police Lt. Bret Becker said the deceased is a man in his 30s who was found in the common area of a rental property on the 1100 block of Sunnyside Lane, which is connected to Burnstead Drive.

Based on the position of the body and injuries, Becker told MTN News at the scene that detectives are investigating further.

The man was found by another tenant inside the home, he said.

Police are not currently looking for a suspect, he said.

The residence is a small rental home on a dead-end street, with the only exit point at Burnstead Drive. Police said traffic has not been disrupted for the investigation.
