Live webcams: Watch as Hurricane Francine approaches Mississippi Coast as Category 2 storm

Hurricane Francine continues to track toward landfall along the Louisiana coastline by Wednesday evening .

Francine was recently upgraded to a category 2 and is expected to move across Louisiana on a northeastern track, bringing heavy rains and winds to New Orleans and the Mississippi Coast as it heads inland.

As schools and businesses close and curfews are put in place, folks are hunkering in with their storm supplies while keeping an eye on the weather through news alerts and updates.

But if you also want a live look at the sky as the storm travels without leaving the safety of home, there are several webcams that offer glimpses of current conditions in the area.

WXXV cameras

The best way to check on live views of the Coast is through the WXXV camera network from our media partner.

The WXXV weather webcam network offers a live look-in from five different locations, including the marina in Bay St. Louis, downtown Gulfport from atop Hancock Whitney and the crashing waves rolling in from the Sound as seen from the Silver Slipper Casino.

City of Biloxi live stream

The official City of Biloxi Youtube account runs an occasional live stream of different areas around town. It is currently running a stream of the Porter Avenue and Beach Boulevard intersection as seen from the Biloxi Lighthouse.

Weatherbug time lapses

Weatherbug.com has a large set of live weather camera feeds from around the country and has one located on the Coast at The Village at Tradition housing development on Highway 67 in Biloxi.

The feeds are delivered in the form of 24 hour time lapses and are best viewed on mobile devices.

There are several available in and around New Orleans, as well. This includes St. Bernard, which will experience the impacts of Francine before New Orleans proper.
