Wasteful

We saw the Mayor of Biloxi was all smiles after Keesler Federal Credit Union bailed out the boondoggle former MGM Park. As depositors we are not smiling. We would prefer higher rates on our deposits or lower interest rates on loans. To top things off, KFCU is expanding it’s headquarters. Online banking is competitive and KFCU should do likewise. That ballpark has been an ego driven sham.

Fix it

OK, for all you disclaimers who argue it can’t happen: Oregon’s DMV just admitted it mistakenly registered several hundred non-citizens to vote and expect to find more. The errors since 2021 were the result of a computer relying on issued driver’s licenses. Oregon has issued those to non-citizens for several years. It doesn’t matter that many of those don’t seem to have voted and low numbers wouldn’t necessarily affect an election. It is that states have had years to get their act together and make certain that only American citizens vote, particularly in federal elections. It’s about having confidence in the integrity of our elections. Every country does the same. It shouldn’t be complicated.

Presidential?

Donald Trump posted in all caps, I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT! And you want him to be the leader of the free world?

Threats

While the Republican ticket wants to blame President Biden for the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, because he said Trump must be stopped at any cost, they openly spew hate and conspiracy theories every day against immigrants, women, judges, juries and election officials. Many of these result in death threats to innocent people by the more radical followers of Trump and he delights in egging them on. He and Sen. Vance are really interested in unifying the country, aren’t they?

300 million homes

Just saw a commercial where Vice President Harris is going to have the government build 300 million houses once she is elected! That’s what we need: more government housing.

Inflation

Low fuel prices and inflation is down. Demand for fuel and goods is down. People are spending all their money on food and housing costs are high. The current president, whoever it is, makes everything look rosy at election time. Kind of like around here when our streets get paved before elections.

Replace with who?

If we deport all the immigrants on the Gulf Coast, we won’t have any doctors. They are here legally, either born here, naturalized or with a visa. Our brain drain is because of our inadequate educational system and backward teachings.
