Celebrities and politicians alike are endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

On Sunday (July 21), Biden announced that he was dropping out of the presidential race just over 100 days before he was set to face off against former President Donald Trump for a second term.

Fol lowing his announcement, Biden endorsed Harris on X, formerly Twitter.

"Tod ay I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this," Biden wrote in part.

In a statement, Harris pledged to "earn and win" the Democratic nomination for the upcoming presidential election.

“I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party—and unite our nation—to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda,” Harris said.
