'Dirty N—r': Black Student Suspended After Standing Up To Racist Bully

A Black student in Missouri says he was suspended after defending himself against a peer who called him the n-word , FOX 4 reports.

Colby Barker , a student at Kansas City's Park Hill High School, said he was recently suspended for seven days following a confrontation with a peer who allegedly sexually harassed several of his female friends.

Barker said one of his friends told him that the student also called him a "dirty n*****."

“She told me that he told her that I was a dirty n*****. So, I came to confront him…. ‘Why are you saying these things? I haven’t done anything to you,’" Barker recalled.

The student then said his peer made the racist remark to his face.

"He said, ‘Don’t talk to me dirty n*****,’” Barker said.

In response, Barker said he pinned the student against a wall, which led to his seven-day suspension.

“I have never had someone have enough guts to say that to my face,” Baxter said.

The student also believes he's the only one who's facing consequences following the incident.

“I can’t believe the administration threw me out like trash like that,” he said.

The Park Hill School District said the incident is under investigation, noting that racist behavior is not tolerated.

A protest and walkout is scheduled for Thursday (September 5) amid the investigation.
