    Binghamton man found guilty of drug charges, facing 15 years in prison

    BINGHAMTON, N.Y. ( WIVT/WBGH ) — A Binghamton man is facing up to 15 years in prison after being found guilty of felony drug charges related to cocaine possession.

    Kareem Young, 45, was arrested on January 5, 2024 after the Broome County Special Investigations Unit searched Young’s residence at 25 North Street in Binghamton where he was found to be in possession of cocaine as well as drug trafficking paraphernalia.

    Young was found guilty as a second felony offender of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree by a Broome County Jury last week in Broome County Court.

    Young is set to return to court for sentencing on September 23.
