Watch Parker McCollum Reveal Name Of Baby No. 1

Parker McCollum revealed the name of his baby as he and his wife, Hallie Ray Light McCollum , prepare to welcome Baby No. 1.

McCollum appeared on The Spencer Graves Show , which appears on iHeartRadio’s 102.5 The Bull in Birmingham, Alabama. McCollum recently met with hosts Spencer Graves and Megan Terry , and shared that his wife selected the name Major Yancey McCollum .

“It’s dope. I was watching Rose Bowl highlights, and I saw Major Applewhite, [current South Alabama Football head coach and former Texas quarterback],” McCollum said on The Spencer Graves Show , in a clip Graves shared on Instagram and TikTok on Tuesday (July 23). “I was like, ‘damn, Major McCollum would be sick.’”

McCollum and his wife announced earlier this year that they’re expecting their first child . They quickly followed the pregnancy announcement with a gender reveal , confirming the parents-to-be will welcome a “little cowboy.” The McCollum’s got married in the award-winning artist’s home state, Texas, in 2022.

McCollum is one of several country artists welcoming a baby into the family in 2024, including other first-time parents and artists welcoming Babies No. 2, 3 or 4. Kane Brown and wife Katelyn Brown , Jon Pardi , Jessie James Decker , Gabby Barrett and others have also announced their babies’ arrivals throughout the year.
