Dinner En Blanc coming to Birmingham in September

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Le Diner en Blanc is coming to Birmingham on Sept. 21 for its fifth-anniversary edition.

To be a part of the French picnic tradition, click here . There will be live entertainment, an evening of gourmet dining and dancing beneath the stars.

The requirements for attending the event are below:

• Dress code: head-to-toe in white only.
• Table setting: all white
• To ensure that the location secret is kept undisclosed until the last minute, guests meet at the assigned departure location and are escorted by a Diner en Blanc volunteer.
• Guests are required to leave with all their belongings, leftovers and litter.

Guests are expected to bring the following:

• A table, two white chairs, white tablecloth.
• A picnic basket comprising fine food, proper stemware and white dinnerware.
• A catered picnic basket option, which can be picked up on-site, will be available for those who do not wish to pack their own.
• As per Birmingham, Alabama alcohol laws, guests cannot bring their own alcohol. Guests wishing to enjoy some wine or champagne must reserve online through Le Diner en Blanc’s e-store. However, guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.
