The Worship Center in Birmingham hosting back-to-school event

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Worship Center Christian Church is inviting students of all ages for a back-to-school celebration.

They will be giving away 500 backpacks, interactive games, complimentary haircuts and more. The event will be held on Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 100 Derby Parkway. The event is free to the public and free of charge.

Here are some of the highlights of the event:

500 Free Backpacks
Free Haircuts: Licensed barbers will be on site offering free back-to-school haircuts
Bouncy Houses
Live interactive games
Silent disco
Food trucks
