FURRY FRIDAY: Meet ZZ the dog

BISMARCK, N.D. (KXNET) — On a warm summer morning, Julie Schirado of Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue came by the studio with her four-legged companion, ZZ the mixed white lab.

Ms. Schirado was kind enough to not only talk about how her new furry friend, but also share the details of a special event coming up next weekend. the fourth annual Fun Run for Larry Quayle will take place on July 20th. The event will feature live musical performances and a silent auction to benefit Furry Friends Rockin Rescue. Representatives and volunteers from the shelter will be on-hand to also take freewill donations as well, plus inform people on the benefits of adopting and fostering a furry friend of your own.

Speaking of volunteers, Ms. Schirado was kind enough to give a special shoutout and heart-felt thank you to a pair of volunteers, without whom the shelter simply could not operate: Kelby and Sara Rinas. Thank you, ladies, for all that you do for the shelter, for the animals, and your fellow volunteers.
