BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — The Friends of the Bismarck Public Library are putting on two dance performances.

According to a news release, both performances will be performed by Northern Plains Dance and are taking place at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library.

The first one is “Where the Wild Things Are.” Kids ages three through five can see it with their parent or guardian on July 23 and July 24 from 10-11 a.m. in the Children’s Library Story Room.

Things to do around town: July 15-21

It’s an energetic and funny performance to bring the Wild Things to life. A narrator will guide the kids, and it’s a perfect introduction to the magic of dance. Children can participate and help Max along his journey with the projects they make.

The second one is “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” Kids of all ages can see it with their parent or guardian on July 25 from 10-11 a.m. in the Children’s Library Story Room.

The dance transforms the story into a journey through dance and imagination. Kids will watch as the dancers embody the journey the caterpillar takes during a week to turn into a butterfly.
