BISMARCK, N.D. ( KXNET ) — Burleigh County Road crews will be working on a long stretch of River Road along the Missouri River next week, beginning on Monday, July 29th.

They will begin the repair project by chip sealing a 4.7-mile section of River Road, between Burnt Boat Drive and Burnt Creek Loop, starting at 7:00 A.M. on Monday. After chip sealing is complete, crews will then add a fog seal to the road on Tuesday.

Drivers will still have access to River Road; however, Burleigh County Engineer Marcus Hall said that they need to slow down and be aware of road crews working on the construction project.

Hall advises motorists to find an alternate route on both days, since there will be time delays with flaggers guiding traffic through the area. He expects work on the road to be completed by the end of Tuesday, July 30th.
