    Bismarck outdoor pools getting ready to close for the season

    BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — With August just days away, the Bismarck Parks and Recreation District is letting people know the outdoor public pool season will soon come to a close.

    The last day for the Hillside Aquatic Complex and Wachter Aquatic Complex is Friday, August 9. The Elks Aquatic Center will remain open through Sunday, August 18.

    The free splash pad at the New Generations Park will remain open for daily hours of 10 a.m.-8 p.m. through Labor Day weekend and as weather permits in early September.

    The Pool Pooch Party will be held on Saturday, August 10, at the Wachter Aquatic Complex. Small dogs under 30 pounds are welcome in the pool from noon to 1 p.m., and large dogs over 30 pounds will have pool access from 1-2 p.m.
