UPDATE: Deer, not mountain lion spotted near Tea
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – A possible mountain lion spotting near the Tea Area high school has been confirmed to be a deer instead, according to officials. Earlier on Monday, Dr. Jennifer Nebelsick Lowery said a mountain lion was spotted “passing through the conservation area west of the high school.” After 4:15 p.m., an update from Nebelsick Lowery said “the review of footage and area indicates there is no mountain lion.”

Longtime grocery store location starts coming back to life with new owner
After a delay of two years, work has begun on a grocery store that will replace a longtime staple of an east-side neighborhood. Owner Efrain Patino said he hopes the new store will be open in September. He has not yet decided whether it will include a deli for customers to take prepared meals home, but a full supply of groceries will be on the shelves.
