Maternal Health Nonprofit MOMS Seeks Support During 24-Hour Igniting Potential Giving Day Fundraiser

MOMS and 26 other nonprofits will partner with Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF) on September 18 to raise $550,000 during Igniting Potential – a 24-hour collaborative giving day to support Orange County’s youth.

MOMS is the region’s largest nonprofit dedicated solely to infant and pregnancy health. Their no-cost programs inform and support families every step of the way, preparing for healthy pregnancies and babies while helping to build strong families.

According to the Orange County Community Foundation, the pandemic continues to have devastating effects on children’s academic growth, mental health, and social/emotional development. “What the past few years have taught us is that as a community we must continue to work together to ensure all children have equitable access to resources that elevate their academic and social/emotional success. OC youth need your support now more than ever. Your investment in their future will help us "Ignite Potential" in the children who need us most.”

In addition to MOMS other participating organizations include All American Boys Chorus, BRDG, bridge to connect, Assistance League of Irvine, Catalyst Family Inc., Child Creativity Lab, Common Ground, Delhi Center, Educate to Empower, Giving Children Hope, Helping Others Prepare for Eternity, Hispanic Education Endowment Fund (HEEF), Hope 4 Kids, Irvine Public Schools Foundation, KidSingers, Lion's Heart Lion's Heart, OC United Together, Orange County Community Housing Corp (OCCHC), Parentis Foundation, Pretend City – The Children’s Museum of Orange County, Project Kinship, Public School Defenders Hub-CPI, Solidarity, Team Kids, The Youth Center and Unidos South OC.

    About MOMS

MOMS (formerly MOMS Orange County) formed 30 years ago in response to a crisis in access to prenatal healthcare for low-income, at-risk women. Today, MOMS serves more than 2,500 low-income families annually, directly influencing improvements in birth outcomes, maternal health, and developmental indicators among infants within a highly disadvantaged population.
