First of all, you don't get to decide for others on what they choose to believe in when you don't truly understand in the first place, 2nd just because you tried to grow in the faith but was obviously not surrounded by intelligent and truly faithful individuals of the religion, that doesn't mean that the book is flawed. There are thousands of verses that have double, triple entendres(a word or sentence that has multiple meanings), the verses have more meanings than just one meaning, it's called intelligence, most will see these entendres in rap musician's lyrics. When you read the Bible, a verse can have one meaning or reference, then when you've read the entire Bible and have a great memory, that same verse can have multiple meanings and references to the entire story line of human life and time. Look up what's happened to so called famous people who've mocked God and the Bible.
