A Fudgy Brownie Based, Coffee Pudding Dessert. Yummy!

Here is a real show stopper for dessert. Make it in the morning, on a weekend, to serve after dinner. Fairly easy, to make and surely will be a family favorite. Even the older kids can help.

I buy a fudgie brownie mix, but if you're a baker, use your favorite recipe.

1/2 cup of chopped walnuts.

2 packages of instant chocolate pudding ( 4 oz pkg.) Or if you feel real inventive, also buy 2 packages of vanilla pudding and make a second layer to the dessert.

3 tablespoons of instant coffee. (Or use brewed coffee if available)

2 cups of cold milk. (or if double layering 2 more cups of cold milk)

1 container (8 oz.) of frozen cool whip or product of your choice, and set it aside to thaw.

Chocolate curls add a nice touch.

Make the brownies as directed on the box, adding the walnuts and 1 tablespoon of the instant coffee. Usually you will bake for 20 to 25 minutes in a prepared pan 9 inch pan. Be careful not to overbake. When done, place on a rack to fully cool. Stir the remaining 2 tablespoons of coffee into the milk in a larger sized bowl, and whisk until fully blended.

Add the chocolate pudding mixes and continue to whisk for 1 or 2 minutes. Let it stand 2 mintes to thicken. If adding another layer, mix up the vanilla pudding with the extra milk, whisk well and let it set in refrigerator. After the brownies have cooled, spread the chocolate coffee pudding, over the top. Refrigerate for an hour before adding second layer. When adequate time has past, add the vanilla layer. Add the whipped topping , and refrigerate 4 hours, until dessert time, and you're ready to treat your family.
