Coffee-Infused Fudgie Mud Pie: A Southern Treat

You have probably all heard of Mississippi mud pie, well this is close, and of course, I've added a touch of coffee flavor to it. It's easy and quick to make, but it needs time to freeze before serving. Enjoy!.

1 cup of gooey fudge sauce, from the grocery store. Divide in half.

Buy a chocolate flavored crumb crust ( 9 inch size).

1 1/2 cups of cold half and half. Go ahead, splurge!

1 package of instant vanilla pudding.

1 envelope of instant dry cappuccino mix, chose either chocolate or vanilla.

1 container of frozen whipped topping, let it thaw first.

See, so far, easy peasy!

Now spread about 1/2 of the fudge sauce on the bottom of the chocolate crust. Set aside. ( That's the mud.)

Put the half and half into a large bowl, add the instant pudding and cappuccino mix . Whisk for 1 minute, then set aside for 5 minutes. Then gentle stir in the whipped topping, add it now to the fudgie chocolate crust. Here's the hard part, you have to wait! Freeze it for 6 hours or overnight. Hard to wait until the tasting!.

Just before serving, let it sit at room temperature for at least 10 minutes, slice and pour on the remaining fudge sauce. You can add more whipped topping on top if you like. I doubt there will be leftovers, but if so, put back into freezer. Serves 8, (or 2 hungry teenage boys!)
