3 crashes across Iowa leave 4 people dead, Iowa State Patrol says
IOWA, USA — Tuesday was a deadly day on Iowa roads as the Iowa State Patrol responded to three fatal crashes across the state. Two people died and one person was injured in a crash in Wayne County Tuesday morning around 7:30 a.m., Iowa State Patrol said. A pickup truck was traveling east on Highway 2 at County Highway S40 when it crossed the center line and struck a car head-on.

A 37-year-old resident of Mondamin died in a two-vehicle collision that occurred about 3:45 p.m. southwest of Waterloo in Black Hawk County, according to a statement from the Iowa State Patrol.
