Migrant train headed to U.S border as unprecedented numbers enter since President Biden took office

[ U.S Politics] The clatter of freight trains echoing through the Mexican countryside carries with it more than just cargo.

According to Fox News reporting, a train carrying hundreds of migrants is heading towards the U.S border.

Mexico's shared border with the US and its extensive network of roads and railways make it a convenient and accessible route for migrants from Central America and other regions seeking to reach the US.

President Joe Biden met with Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador earlier this month. From the readout of their meeting:

President Biden recognized steps that Mexico is taking to expand access to legal pathways including work visas inside Mexico, particularly for Central Americans. The Center Square reported “more than 10 million people have been reported illegally entering the United States since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021, the greatest number in history and of any administration”.
