    $40,000 Mega Millions ticket sold in Upstate set to expire

    BLACKSBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – Check your tickets! A Mega Millions ticket worth $40,000 sold in January is set to expire Friday.

    The winning ticket was sold at Hickory Point at 2806 East Cherokee Street in Blacksburg.

    The winning numbers for January 30 were: 3 – 5 – 16 – 58 – 59 Megaball: 11

    The drawing matched four white ball numbers and the gold Megaball number to win $40,000.

    Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

    The winning ticket must be claimed at the Columbia Claims Center before 4 p.m. on Friday, July 26. If mailed, the envelope must be postmarked by Saturday, July 27.

    If the prize is not claimed, the $40,000 winnings will be deposited in the Education Lottery Account to support educational programs in South Carolina.
