Hopkinton Water-Sewer manager Eric Carty announced that there could be temporary water discoloration in areas of town after a flow reversal at the Ashland plant on Friday. According to the announcement, the reversal stirred up water mains in the area. Residents have been advised that they might notice some discoloration on and off throughout the weekend as the water lines clear.
