CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A National Champion shooter at West Virginia University will make a second attempt at shooting for gold in the upcoming Paris Olympic Games. Mary Tucker, who spent her last two seasons of NCAA Rifle in Morgantown, will shoot the smallbore, air rifle, and mixed team events at the Paris games. It’s Tucker’s second Olympics. She qualified for all three events in Tokyo as well.

Man accused of fatally shooting woman in Wood County arrested in Stonewood
STONEWOOD, W.Va. (WBOY) — A man who allegedly shot a woman in Wood County on Saturday has been arrested in Harrison County. According to a press release from the Vienna Police Department, a woman was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound at an apartment on 19th Street in Vienna, which is in the Parkersburg area. The victim, who was identified as 22-year-old Morgan Lee Lott (Stutler) according to police, was found by a family member just after 4 p.m. on July 20.
