Local organization to celebrate International Overdose Awareness Day
CLARKSBURG, W.Va (WDTV) - A local organization will be offering outreach in downtown Clarksburg in honor of International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD). IOAD is a day observed annually around the world to remember those who have died due to drug overdose, create a better understanding of what an overdose is, reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths and inspire change that reduces the harms associated with drug use.
Fair Haven Farms hosts 4th Annual Sunflower Festival
Celebrate the transition from summer to fall at Fair Haven Farm's 4th Annual Sunflower Festival. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 24th and 25th. For a $10 admission cost attendees can shop around at dozens of artisan vendors, go on hayrides, visit a petting zoo, play games, and more. The admission price includes parking and access to the sunflower fields.

Clemson dominates first half to shut out Mountaineers
After just three matches, West Virginia’s undefeated streak has come to a close with a 3-0 loss to the Clemson Tigers on Friday. Clemson’s three goals were the first scored on the Mountaineers and goalie Mackenzie Smith this season. Jersey City (N.J.) Hudson Catholic 2026 athlete Amori McNeil had been building a strong connection with West Virginia over the past couple months and that took a step further.
