Italian Heritage Festival Announces 45th Annual Event Lineup led by Former Journey Singer Steve Augeri
The West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival will be holding its 45th annual event this coming Labor Day weekend on the streets of downtown Clarksburg. Recently, the Festival announced the lineup for the Main Stage, which is situated on the Harrison County Courthouse Plaza. As is always the case, the entertainment is free and there is no admission charge.
More Rain Chances on the Way
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - With drought conditions remaining across NCWV this week, rain showers will be welcomed across the area. Our year-to-date rain totals are now almost back at our average after being 5 inches above average 6-8 weeks ago. Our rain chances this week will not entirely fix our drought conditions. This will be a step in the right direction if we start seeing more rain chances pick up throughout the next few weeks. We are expecting to see generally half an inch to close to an inch of rainfall this week. The bad news is conditions are again expected to dry out starting on Friday and throughout the weekend. Federal escapee arrested in Clarksburg, officers find unregistered machine gun
CLARKSBURG, W.Va (WDTV) - A Puerto Rican man was arrested in Clarksburg after failing to report to a halfway house Friday. The U.S. Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force, along with the Clarksburg Police Department and the West Virginia Department of Corrections, arrested Edgardo Quinones-Hiraldo, 35, at a home on Hart Street.

Barbour County man charged in domestic assault investigation
MOATSVILLE, W.Va. — A suspect from Moatsville is behind bars after police say he assaulted a woman and fled from police over the weekend. Deputies from the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene in the Arden area Saturday and witnessed Christopher Wagner, 33, slamming a woman to the ground by the throat. When deputies ordered Wagner to stop, he fled on foot from the area.
