Schneider Electric projects 50% surge in U.S. industry electrification by 2030
Schneider Electric released a report June 25 that projects electrification of U.S. industry will increase by half from 30% at present to 45% by 2030. Compiled by the company's Sustainability Research Institute, the report also projects a potential, corresponding 25% reduction in fossil fuel demand over the same period. The report provides detailed analysis by sector, and projects that 16 of 21 sectors will reach 60% electrification by 2030. It also projects that U.S. industries will collectively reach 64% electrification by 2040 with a corresponding 50% reduction in fossil fuel consumption.
Orangeburg pair accused of pulling guns on dad, 11-year-old
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office said two men have been arrested in connection with a robbery on Interstate 26. Lloyd Fulton, 18, and Terrance Jackson, 19, were arrested and each charged with two counts of armed robbery with a deadly weapon and two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The heat index made it feel well into the triple digits and will continue to do so throughout the week. Tonight will be muggy with lows in the mid 70s. Tomorrow’s highs are going to be in the mid to upper 90s. Rain chances are going to increase as we go into the week. Tomorrow has a 30% chance of some storms, but the chance jumps up to 50% and 60% later in the week. Temperatures will cool down as the rain moves in.

HOLLY HILL, S.C. — The Town of Holly Hill is in need of a new wastewater treatment plant. Town officials says the current plant is at capacity. “We can handle up to almost 300,000 gallons," said Holly Hill Mayor Billy Chavis. "The problem is on our dry days we're great. On our wet days, when its raining, our system potentially can get up to 2 million gallons a day when its raining.”
