After a couple of the international games being subjected to pandemic restrictions, Paris 2024 will bring the Olympics back in full force. Oklahoma is a state with numerous Olympic ties, and one of those is the USA BMX headquarters and Olympic training facility in Tulsa. The Oklahoma Today Podcast partnered with USA BMX for a series of interviews with USA BMX athletes headed to Paris for the games that begin this Friday.
Asian elephant at OKC Zoo suffers miscarriage
OKLAHOMA CITY (KSWO) - The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden said one of its Asian elephants had a miscarriage over the weekend. The zoo shared that Asha, which is one of their Asian elephants, went into premature labor Sunday, July 21. Asha was 13 months pregnant, with a due date set for April 2025. The normal gestation period for elephants is 22 months.
