Delaware State Police Detectives have arrested 24-year-old Timmarus Perry of Milton, Delaware for felony assault and gun charges following a shooting near Milton. On July 14, 2024, at approximately 7:49 p.m., troopers responded to Cool Spring Road near Fisher Road, for a Ford Explorer that crashed into a utility pole. When troopers arrived, they learned that the driver, a 27-year-old man from Laurel, Delaware, had been shot in the back. He was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was driving on West Springside Drive when the suspect fired several rounds at the Explorer, hitting the victim. After the shooting, the Explorer drove away and hit a utility pole a short distance away.
