State Police Arrest Man for Hockessin Area Shell Gas Station Robbery
Delaware State Police arrested 24-year-old Brandon Robertaccio of Hockessin, Delaware, for a robbery that occurred yesterday morning at a Shell gas station in Hockessin. On July 23, 2024, at approximately 11:49 a.m., troopers responded to the Shell gas station, located at 7441 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, for a report of a robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed that a white male suspect approached the checkout counter, where a cashier and two children were present. At the counter, the suspect, with his hand concealed under his shirt implying a weapon, demanded the cashier give him money from the cash register. The victim did not comply, and the suspect fled in a gray SUV without any proceeds.
Waste Styrofoam Can Be Converted into Polymers for Electronics
University of Delaware and Argonne National Laboratory have come up with a chemical reaction that can convert Styrofoam into a high-value conducting polymer known as PEDOT:PSS. In a new paper published in JACS Au, the study demonstrates how upgraded plastic waste can be successfully incorporated into functional electronic devices, including silicon-based hybrid solar cells and organic electrochemical transistors.
