‘People were breaking in everyday’: Senate Luxury Suites Manager speaks on recent events
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Alonzo Artega was Senate Luxury Suites general manager for four years. “The building was built in 1928, it was originally built as an apartment complex. In 1991 it was converted into a hotel and that’s really what it’s been ever since its closure,” said Senate Luxury Suites’ previous general manager Alonzo Artega.

The now-vacant Hilltop Elementary School near Olathe may welcome students again as early as next year as a private school run by the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. The Archdiocese intends to buy the 4.5-acre property at 16740 W. 175th St. and offer kindergarten through eighth grade education for up to 200 students there.

It was another quick night for the Liberal City Commission during its most recent meeting Tuesday evening. The first of the two items of new business for the commission was discussion of Ordinance 4618 concerning modifying the hours of cereal malt beverage sales on Sundays.
