Rising TN population could affect housing prices, experts say
KNOXVILLE, Tennessee — Tennessee's population is expected to grow to nearly 8 million people by 2040, a new study showed. A large part of that increase includes people ages 65 and above. A 36% increase is expected for the number of people ages 75 to 84. A 72% increase is expected for people ages 85 and up.

The Tennessee National Guard has mobilized its aerial assets to actively support firefighting efforts in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as wildfires continue to char the region. Knoxville and Chattanooga mayors wager $100 donation to nonprofits over Tennessee Football's season opener score
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Two Tennessee mayors have agreed to a wager over the results of Tennessee Football's season opener game on Saturday. Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon posted on social media and said that if the final score of the game is an odd number, she would donate $100 to the Community Foundation of Greater Tennessee. She said she would also post a photo of herself in University of Tennessee Chattanooga gear.
