Event center, apartments proposed to complete Sugar Creek Commons
Forward Development Group (FDG) is looking to move forward on the final phase of its Sugar Creek Commons development on West Verona Avenue. The City of Verona Plan Commission and Common Council gave feedback on a proposal for a 200-person event center and 112-unit apartment building at their July 1 and July 8 meetings, respectively. Alders and commissioners were in general favor of the proposal, though raised concerns about event center parking and noise levels for apartment residents in the same building.

A Kwik Trip in Redgranite sold a $4.3 million winning lottery ticket earlier this week. The Wisconsin Lottery said in a news release that someone won the jackpot playing Megabucks, a Wisconsin-only lotto game. The winning ticket was sold at the gas station located at 549 W. Bannerman Ave. for Wednesday's drawing. The winning numbers were 6-8-14-26-33-37.
