Badgers Moving Casey Rabach Into Assistant Coaching Role
In an effort to shore up the offensive line, Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football program are moving Casey Rabach from his role in the Badgers recruiting department to assistant offensive line coach for the 2024 season. Subscribe now Colten Bartholomew of BadgerExtra first reported Rabach moving to an on-field position, and Badgernotes confirmed it. Initially hired in 2022 as a personnel assistant under former head coach Paul Chryst, Rabach survived the staff’s transition to Fickell and quickly carved out a meaningful role for the Badgers recruiting department. Former Wisconsin starting quarterback selected in 2024 UFL college draft
Former Wisconsin quarterback Tanner Mordecai was selected by the D.C. Defenders in the ninth round of the 2024 UFL college draft on Wednesday. After going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, Mordecai signed with the San Francisco 49ers as a free agent on April 27. Due to his status as an undrafted prospect, the Waco, Texas native was eligible for this year’s UFL draft.
Swimming: Hunter Franke targets with Hawks Landing, VAST swim teams
Verona senior Hunter Franke, who swims for the Hawks Landing Swim Team in the summer, has big expectations for improving his times to earn an opportunity to swim in college. Franke won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 58.82 seconds, only 0.32 of a second ahead of Ridgewood’s Evan Lederer and a teammate on the Verona boys swimming team. He also won the 200 individual medley in a time of 2 minutes, 10.01 seconds.
