Five officers from the Columbus, Ohio Police Department fatally shot a man wielding two knives near the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. The incident occurred despite the man’s refusal to comply with police commands. Body camera footage released by Columbus PD showed the tense encounter. Funnel Clouds Approached Evansville Monday Night
The National Weather Service confirmed storms in Rock County on Monday included a funnel cloud forming over the same fields where a historic tornado tore through Evansville in February. The NWS of Milwaukee was assessing storm damage in Rock County on Tuesday after Monday storms caused tree damage in Evansville. Surveyors said the damage was minor and indicated the funnel cloud was not a fully formed tornado. The Evansville community was aware and slightly on edge after dealing with a number of storms since February.
