We Should Have Been DJs’ latest album leans on community to fight through despair
“Find Something New To Miss” is a darkly scintillating effort from the punk trio. In early June, We Should Have Been DJs opened a Cloud Nothings show at the High Noon Saloon. Throughout the Madison punk band’s high-energy set, the band’s members—guitarist/vocalist Mike Pellino, bassist/vocalist Drew Ferguson, and drummer Erik Fredine—half-joked and half-apologized for the amount of time it’s taken them to release their new album, Find Something New To Miss. The album arrives 10 years after the band’s initial release, DEMO TAO, lending Find Something New To Miss an implicitly celebratory feel.

Civic Recognition Award for Lauri Lee
Alder Amani Latimer Buris and I presented the Madison Common Council Civic Recognition Award to Lauri Lee’s family. This award honors Lauri’s dedication to the Northside community. She served as the editor of the Northside News, president of the Northside Business Association, chair of the Northside Economic Development Coalition, and Board Chair of the Northside Planning Council. Lauri’s tireless efforts left a lasting legacy. A copy of this recognition will be placed in the Northside Planning Office. Though she is gone, she will never be forgotten.

Week 1: Wisconsin (0-0) vs Western Michigan (0-0) In the first game of Year 2 in the Air Raid system, Wisconsin's offense didn't do much vertical damage in the opening two quarters. The team was held scoreless in the first quarter on 39 yards of offense and its' lone first-half score came off the back of an RJ Delancy red-zone interception that led to a 46 yard pop pass from Tyler Van Dyke to Vinny Anthony. Anthony was the only wide receiver to net a catch in the half, as Van Dyke only completed five passes.
