After 40 years with the Republican Journal in Darlington, Brian Lund has retired. Lund has built a career in the newspaper business from the age of 10 in McHenry, Ill. His grandfather, Arnold Lund, was part owner of the McHenry Plaindealer at the time. His dad, Larry Lund, was the newspaper’s publisher.

NWS: EF1 tornado confirmed in Grant County
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The National Weather Service in La Crosse confirmed that an EF1 tornado touched down in Kieler in Grant County on Monday night. The tornado was estimated to have been on the ground for 0.3 miles in the area of County Road H and County Road HHH. Wind speeds were estimated to be 90 miles per hour.

This year more police departments across the country have decided to join the ranks of those who outfit their officers with body-worn cameras. In March, the U.S. Capitol police began a 180-day body camera pilot program while officers in Brookline, Massachusetts, Madison, Wisconsin, and Philadelphia, Delaware, and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania have all announced pilot programs of their own.
