• General Prevalence: Approximately 1 in 36 children is identified with ASD according to CDC's Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network.
• Demographics: ASD is reported to occur in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups.
• Gender Disparity: ASD is nearly 4 times more common among boys than girls.
• Developmental Disabilities: About 1 in 6 (17%) children aged 3–17 years were diagnosed with a developmental disability between 2009–2017, including autism, ADHD, blindness, and cerebral palsy.
