Crews begin work on baseball, soccer fields at Spring Lake and Wallace Parks
TEXARKANA, Texas (KSLA) - Work at Spring Lake and Wallace Parks in Texarkana, Texas is now underway. Ross Cowling with the Texarkana Texas Parks & Recreation Department said work is progressing on schedule. The upgrade includes six baseball fields at Spring Lake Park and a full size soccer field at Wallace Park.

Growing trash, litter at Beaumont home leads to discovery of squatters
BEAUMONT — Coming home to find someone else living there is the reality for one Beaumont homeowner, whose home in the north end has been taken over by one or more squatters. Neighbors of the home at 5270 Landry Lane originally contacted KFDM about trash littering the entire yard of the property. Reverend J.D. Roberts says he and other neighbors noticed the trash three weeks ago and the piles are steady growing.
