OTTUMWA, Iowa (KYOU) - We continue to see nice weather this evening and overnight. Mostly clear skies, light winds, and comfortable dew points will create ideal conditions for efficient nighttime cooling. Our lows tonight drop into the mid 50s; it’ll be a great night to spend some time outside and/or sleep with the windows open. Friday brings another pleasant day with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. Friday night into Saturday morning, we are expecting a few clouds to move in and Saturday will see more clouds than sun. Little to no rain is expected with these clouds, and their primary impact will be to moderate our high temperatures. Highs remain in the upper 70s to near 80 Saturday. Sunday is similar to Saturday, with more clouds than sun and high temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s. Our next rain chance doesn’t arrive until the start of the work week with Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday all featuring chances for scattered showers and a few storms during the afternoon hours. No severe weather is anticipated with these and coverage is expected to be fairly light and scattered. Highs during this time are in the low to mid 80s with lows in the low to mid 60s.
