Tornado Warnings Around the Tri-Counties Illinois
A Radar indicated tornado warning has been issued for parts of Rock Island, Mercer, Whiteside and Henry Counties. The warning is currently from the Quad Cities to Atkinson but the warning is expected to extend southeast. VERY strong winds have been confirmed with these storms. Funnel clouds have been spotted but any possible spin-up may be rain-wrapped. Stay alert and keep a device with you to stay up-to-date with warnings. I&M: Less than 3,000 customers remain without power following storms
(WPTA) - Indiana Michigan Power shares that as of 9 p.m. Tuesday, only about 2,900 customers are still without power. Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) has provided another update after 16,000 customers were without power Tuesday morning after a line of thunderstorms moved through the area. I&M says more than 70% of those affected have had their power restored noting that less than 8,000 customers are without power as of 1 p.m.
