On Saturday, the Indiana Fever will look to bounce back from their blowout loss against the Aces with a big win over the top team in the WNBA, the New York Liberty. Indiana lost their first three meetings against New York, and none of them were close.

Fever forward Temi Fagbenle made her return from injury on Thursday, June 27, against the Seattle Storm after missing the previous ten games. She has played a key role off the bench since returning, scoring 20 points in the Fever's last three games. But Fagbenle is back on the injury report for the Fever-Liberty matchup with a right thumb injury.

Prior to the match, Fever coach Christie Sides gave an update on Fagbenle.

"Yeah, we're just kind of watching it. Not really sure what is... Just kind of waiting through warmups. (The trainer) is going to let us know what the options are for us," Sides said.

Fagbenle played college ball for the USC Trojans before being selected by the Minnesota Lynx in 2016. She played with the Lynx from 2017 to 2019, then went overseas to play basketball for five years. She is in her first season with the Fever.

In 11 games played this season, Fagbenle is averaging 8.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in 21.6 minutes per game.
