All three own program records in their respective events

Bloomington Jefferson had a trio of boys compete at the Class AAA state track and field meet June 6-8 at St. Michael-Alberville High School.

Senior David Schiller placed sixth in the discus with a throw of 160 feet, 3 inches. He surpassed 160 feet for the third time this season and first time since launching his winning throw of 161-4 at the Lakeville North Mega Meet on April 27. He won the Section 2AAA title with a 156-11 and hit what is his personal best distance of 161-7 at the Armstrong Invite on April 12 in Robbinsdale, which is also the school record. The previous record of 152-9 was set in 2017 by Jesse Richard. Schiller also owns the program record in the shot put with a 51-2, surging past the previous best mark of 46-10, set by Andrew Swartz in 2017. Schiller set the high mark while winning the Edina Invite on May 3.

Senior Ethan Ishaug set a new personal best in the pole vault clearing the bar set at 13 feet to finish 19th place.

He reached 12-11 to place third at the section meet after clearing 12-6 to place third at the Metro West Conference Championships on May 15 and reached 12 feet in the New Prague Last Chance Meet on May 22.

Ishaug ranks second on the all-time program list, trailing only Riley Devries who cleared 14 feet in 2018 while winning the Metro West Conference Championship. He won the Rogness Relays clearing 13-6 but only reached 12 feet to place fifth at the Section 3AA meet.

Jefferson junior Evan Feller ran a personal-best time in the 100-meter dash prelims of 10.82 which was seventh best but qualified for the finals on June 8. He wrapped up the season with a 10.90 to place ninth. His prelims pass was the second-best time in program history, trailing only Austin Chroup who ran a 10.74 to place third at the Section 2AAA Championships.
